Hounds Finish Trip to Texas with Sweep at Schreiner

KERRVILLE, Texas --- The Moravian College women's volleyball team completed its weekend trip to Texas with a 3-0 sweep of Schreiner University by set scores of 25-16, 26-24, 25-23.

Senior outside hitter Mary Zacher led the Greyhounds with 11 kills and 12 digs while junior middle blocker Erin Tiger contributed ten kills and a pair of blocks. Freshman middle blocker Madi Anslow added nine kills and a block while sophomore outside hitter Brooke Kusmider had seven kills.

Sophomore setter Victoria Kauffman paced the Moravian offense with 38 assists to go along with six digs and a kill while senior libero Jean Markovic led the Blue and Grey with 17 digs to go with three assists. Sophomore defensive specialist Alexis Szaro had ten digs in the victory while freshman outside hitter Corinne Frick contributed three kills and junior defensive specialist Bridgette Devlin added three digs.

The Greyhounds are slated to return to action on Saturday, October 14 when they host a Landmark Conference quad match with Elizabethtown College, Susquehanna University and The University of Scranton in Johnston Hall. Moravian will play Scranton at 11:00 a.m. and Susquehanna at 6:30 p.m.
