MONTCLAIR, N.J. --- The Moravian College women's volleyball team rallied to win the final two sets to post a 3-2 victory in non-conference action at Montclair State University Tuesday evening.

The Greyhounds, now 12-12 on the season, won the opening set, 25-23, as the squads were never more than four points apart in the set. The Red Hawks rallied from a 19-15 deficit in the second set for a 29-27 win to even the match at 1-1, and Montclair State captured the third set, 25-22, to take a 2-1 lead after winning the final five points of the set. Moravian bounced back to win the fourth set, 25-20, and the Blue and Grey captured the fifth set, 15-12, to win the match.

Senior outside hitter Mary Zacher led the Hounds with 19 kills, to move into fifth in school history with 1,341 kills, and she added 21 digs, two blocks and a pair of service aces. Sophomore outside hitter Brooke Kusmider contributed 16 kills and seven digs while junior middle hitter Erin Tiger had 15 kills and a pair of blocks.

Sophomore setter Victoria Kauffman controlled the Moravian offense with 57 assists to go along with nine digs, three kills and a pair of service aces while senior libero Jean Markovic added 16 digs, four assists and a pair of service aces. Sophomore defensive specialist Alexis Szaro contributed 15 digs while freshman right side hitter Emerson Gieryic had four kills, four service aces and eight digs. Freshman middle hitter Madi Anslow added six kills and two blocks for Moravian while junior defensive specialist Bridgette Devlin had nine digs.

The Greyhounds are scheduled to return to action on Friday, October 20 in the opening day of the Wilkes University Colonel Clash with matches against Keystone College at 4:00 p.m. at Kean (N.J.) University at 6:00 p.m.
