Moravian Falls in Non-Conference Action at Arcadia

GLENSIDE, Pa. --- The Moravian College fell in straight sets at Arcadia University, 3-0, in the Greyhounds final non-conference road match of the 2017 season Tuesday evening.

The Knights opened the match with a 25-18 win in the opening set before taking the second set 25-22 as the Hounds tried to rally late in the set. Arcadia needed an extra point to capture the final set, 26-24.

Senior outside hitter Mary Zacher led the Greyhounds with 17 kills to go with 15 digs while junior middle hitter Erin Tiger contributed six kills. Sophomore outside hitter Brooke Kusmider had five kills and a pair of digs while freshman middle hitter Madi Anslow added two kills and two blocks.

Senior libero Jean Markovic led Moravian with 16 digs to go along with a pair of assists while junior defensive specialist Bridgette Devlin added eight digs. Sophomore setter Victoria Kauffman paced the Greyhounds' offense with 27 assists while sophomore defensive specialist Alexis Szaro added six digs. Graduate student and middle hitter Jackie Finnegan had two blocks in the match.

The Hounds are scheduled to close out their 2017 home season with Senior Night on Thursday, October 26 when the squad welcomes Penn St.-Berks to Johnston Hall for a non-conference match beginning at 7:00 p.m.
