Moravian Women's Volleyball Hosts Annual Greyhound Premiere to Kick Off 2018 Season

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian College women's volleyball team is set to host its 16th Annual Greyhound Premiere Invitational on Friday, August 31 and Saturday, September 1 to begin the 2018 season in Johnston Hall and Timothy Breidegam Fieldhouse.

The Greyhounds will play Baldwin-Wallace (Ohio) University and Ursinus College on August 31 to start the tournament before hosting Swarthmore College and Alvernia University on the September 1. The Hounds head out on the road to DeSales University on September 5 before traveling to Misericordia University for the Cougar Clash on September 7-8 with matches versus Pitt-Bradford, the College of Saint Elizabeth, Wilson College and host Misericordia.

The Blue and Grey are slated to return to Johnston Hall on September 11 for a match with Franklin & Marshall College before heading back on the road to the Knights Invitational at Neumann University on September 14-15 with contests against Widener University, New York University, Salisbury (Md.) University and Cabrini University. In a schedule quirk, the Hounds will play Cabrini again on September 18 in a road match scheduled before the tournament pairings for the Knights Invitational were announced.

The Greyhounds will host Farmingdale State (N.Y.) College on September 20 before finishing the month of September with a day at Stockton (N.J) University on September 22 with matches versus Springfield (Mass.) College and FDU-Florham and the first Landmark Conference Weekend of the season at Susquehanna University with contests against The Catholic University of America and Juniata College on September 29.

Moravian opens October by hosting Susquehanna on October 3 before heading to Penn State Brandywine on October 6 for a tri-match with Cedar Crest College. The Blue and Grey play four of their final eight matches in Johnston Hall beginning with a contest versus Keystone College on October 11. After a tri-match with Immaculata University at Ursinus College on October 13, the Hounds host rival Muhlenberg College on October 18 and Montclair State University on October 20 in a morning match on Moravian's Homecoming. The Greyhounds will travel to Penn State Berks on October 23 before finishing the regular season by hosting Elizabethtown College and Goucher College in a Landmark Conference Weekend on October 27.

Moravian looks to qualify for the postseason for a second straight year in the 2018 Landmark Conference Tournament that begins with the semifinals on Wednesday, October 31 and the finals slated for Saturday, November 3 at the highest remaining seeds' home court.
