BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian University women's volleyball squad fell to No. 3 Juniata College, 3-0, and The Catholic University of America, 3-1, in Landmark Conference action Saturday in Johnston Hall on the final day of the 2022 season.
How It Happened – Juniata Match
- The Eagles won the match with set scores of 25-6, 25-6, 25-2
- Junior right side hitter Sophie Bauer and sophomores right side hitter Makenzie Krasley and outside hitter Jenna Deegan all had two kills
- Senior setter Natalia Matos had five digs and four assists while junior defensive specialists Emily Szy and Kat DeYesso both had four digs and senior libero Gabby Mancini added three digs
How It Happened – Catholic Match
- The Greyhounds took the opening set against the Cardinals, 25-20, before Catholic won the next three sets 25-15, 25-15, 25-19 to win the contest
- Deegan led Moravian with 14 kills to go with three digs and a pair of blocks while Bauer added 10 kills
- Junior middle blocker Grace Silfani contributed nine kills and a pair of digs while Krasley had seven kills and junior middle blocker Autumn Marrero posted four kills, three digs and two blocks
- Matos registered 40 assists to finish her career with 1,478 assists, which ranks eighth in school history, and she had 18 digs to finish her career with 750 digs
- Mancini posted 21 digs and two assists as she completed her career with 1,024 digs, which is 15th in program history
- Szy and junior defensive specialist Allie Ludlow both had 13 digs in the contest with Szy adding two service aces while DeYesso added nine digs
