BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian University women's volleyball squad fell to visiting The University of Scranton, 3-0, in Landmark Conference action in Johnston Hall Saturday evening.
How It Happened
- The Hounds and Royals were tied at 2-2 in the opening set when Scranton went on a 14-0 run to take control. The Royals posted a 25-8 set victory for a 1-0 edge
- Scranton had a pair of long runs in the second game on the way to a 25-5 set win
- The third set saw the Greyhounds jump out to an 8-0 lead with senior defensive specialist Kat DeYesso serving. The Blue & Grey had a 12-4 edge and led 16-9 before the Royals rallied back for a 25-23 set victory to clinch the match
Inside the Numbers
- Freshman middle blocker Payton Reuber led Moravian with four kills and a pair of blocks while junior outside hitter Jenna Deegan also recorded four kills and two digs
- Junior setter Emily Solomon posted six assists while sophomore setter Ally Plitnick had four assists and three digs
- Freshman defensive specialist Sam Love finished with eight digs while senior defensive specialist Allie Ludlow had four digs
