Greyhounds Run to 5th Place at Oberlin Inter-Regional Rumble

OBERLIN, Ohio --- The Moravian College women's cross country squad finished fifth at the Oberlin College Inter-Regional Rumble Saturday by scoring 201 points.

Host Oberlin won with 94 points, two ahead of Waynesburg University in the 29-team race. Senior Meg Brockett placed second of the 255 runners with a time of 21:19.5, the second fastest time school history, while senior Sarah Hughes was fourth on the 6,000-meter course in a career-best time of 21:48.5, which ranks 10th all-time at Moravian. Freshman Katie Mayer was 23rd in the race in a season-best time of 22:39.6.

Freshman Carly Danoski finished 82nd in a season best 23:38.8 while freshman Ashley Rohrer had a time of 24:11.2. Rounding out the Moravian runners in the race were sophomore Alyssa Limbaugh in a career best time of 24:18.5, senior Larissa Strycharz with a career low time of 24:42.5, freshman Marlee Hornbaker in a season best clocking of 25:58.1 and freshman Rachel Mikols with a time of 26:34.8.

Moravian  scheduled to return to action on Saturday, October 29 when the squad hosts the 2016 Landmark Conference Championships at Bicentennial Park in East Allen Township on the border of Northampton and Bethlehem.
