Women Compete in Brown 6K at Paul Short Run Hosted by Lehigh

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian College women's cross country teams competed in the annual Paul Short Run hosted by Lehigh University on the Goodman Campus in South Bethlehem Friday.

The Greyhounds finished 17th of 20 among non-NCAA Division I schools in the Women's Brown 6K with a team score of 626. Sophomore Katie Mayer led the Greyhounds with a time of 22:36 over the 6,000-meter course, the second fastest time of her career, to finish 28th of the 167 non-NCAA Division I runners in the race. Sophomore Carly Danoski recorded a career-best time of 23:35 while junior Alyssa Limbaugh finished in a career-best time of 23:46, freshman Grace Gilbert ran a time of 24:03 and freshman Nora Grimm posted a time of 24:21 to round out Moravian's scoring top five. Sophomore Marlee Hornbaker also recorded a career-best time of 24:35 while freshman Natalie Novotni finished in 24:46, freshman Molly Talarico ran a time of 25:34 to round out the Greyhounds in the Women's Brown 6K.

Earlier in the day, Moravian had three runners in the Women's 6K Open race with freshman Julia Freet running a time of 25:51, sophomore Rachel Mikols recording a time of 25:59 and freshman Alison Nicolosi finishing in 28:32.

The Greyhounds are scheduled to return to action on Saturday, October 14 when the squad heads to the Inter-Regional Rumble hosted by Rowan (N.J.) University.
