MULLICA HILL, N.J. --- The Moravian College women's cross country team raced in the Inter-Regional Rumble hosted by Rowan University Saturday as the squad had its final tune-up before the 2017 Landmark Conference Championship meet.
The Hounds finished 13th of 27 schools with a score of 370 while Otterbein (Ohio) College won the race. Sophomore Katie Mayer paced the Greyhounds with a 19th place finish of 239 runners in a time of 22:30.4 on the 6,000-meter course. Freshman Grace Gilbert was the next Moravian runner to cross the line in 66th place with a time of 23:29.2 while sophomore Carly Danoski finished in 23:46.5 and junior Alyssa Limbaugh recorded a time of 23.55.7. Rounding out the Greyhounds in the Championship race were freshman Nora Grimm with a time of 24:25.8, sophomore Marlee Hornbaker in 24:57.2, freshman Molly Talarico at 25:06.8, sophomore Ashley Rohrer with a time of 25:31.3, freshman Natalie Novotni in 25:45.1 and sophomore Rachel Mikols at 25:56.2.
Moravian had three women run in the open race with freshman Julia Freet running a time of 26:32.1, senior Kirsten Lebo finishing in 26:36.4 and freshman Alison Nicolosi finishing in 29:05.3.
The Greyhounds will return to action on Saturday, October 28 in the 2017 Landmark Conference Championships being hosted by Juniata College in Huntingdon, Pennsylvania.
