Why did you choose Moravian College?
I first heard of Moravian through a personality quiz on the college board website. My Mom had heard it was good school so we decided to visit. After visiting the school for the first time I fell in love with the campus and the atmosphere of the campus. I came from a small all girls high school so I already knew I would like how small and personal the school was. I'm also from the city so I also really liked the change of scenery in Bethlehem. What really won me over to commit to going to Moravian was my recruitment visit with the cross country and track team. The team had reminded me so much of my high school team that I knew I would be comfortable on the team once I got to school.

What is your major and why?
My major is business management with science pre-requisites for dental school. I'm majoring in business management in hopes that eventually after dental school I will be able to open up my own practice that way I already understand the business aspects of running my own practice.

What has been your favorite course at Moravian and why?
So far I would say that my favorite course at Moravian would be my Linc: Ethics of Life and Death writing class. Since this class was a philosophy based class it taught me how to think and write differently than I typically would. I really enjoyed this class because it improved my writing skills and my professor opened my eyes to a new way of thinking.

What are your plans for the future once you finish your degree at Moravian?
My plans after Moravian would be to go on to dental school to become a dentist and hopefully open my own practice.

What is your most memorable moment as a Greyhound?
My most memorable moment as a Greyhound would be the Landmark Conference meet for cross country last year. The day of the meet was in late October, and there was an unusual snow storm. By the time the women's race went off there was six inches of snow on the ground. I've never been so cold in my life, but it all paid off in the end when our team won the Landmark Conference Championship and I received First Team All-Conference honors.

How has being an athlete helped you as a student?
Being an athlete has helped me learn to balance my time and not procrastinate. Since my time is already restricted between practice and meets, I know that once I get back to my room I have to start my homework in order to not get behind in my classes.

What is the hardest part of your sport?
I think the hardest part about my sport is that during a race when I'm feeling tired or in pain, I have to realize that everyone else is feeling the same pain so it is no excuse to give up and let them get ahead of me.

What advice do you have for a prospective Moravian College student-athlete?
My advice to a prospective Moravian student-athlete would be don't fear the pressure of being a student-athlete. Moravian College is a Division III school and truly emphasizes that you are a student first, athlete second. If your school work is building up let your coach know, they will understand and help you. It can be a little scary coming into college as a freshman, being a college athlete eases that fear a little because you have an automatic group of friends on your team that will help you with any obstacles.
