Senior forward Gia Ambrosino from the Moravian University’s field hockey team was named the Sodexo Student-Athlete of the Week for her performance during the week of September 8-14.

Ambrosino led the Greyhounds with three goals and an assist in a 2-0 week for Moravian in non-conference action. Ambrosino had a goal and an assist in the Hounds' 5-0 win at Cedar Crest College, and she added a pair of goals in a 5-2 win over William Paterson University to move Ambrosino into a tie for ninth in school history with 26 goals and a tie for 12th in points with 57.

The Sodexo Student-Athlete of the Week is selected on Mondays by Moravian’s Student-Athlete Advisory Committee. Sodexo will be giving each week’s winner a free Starbucks drink at DeLight’s Café.
