Moravian SAAC Raises over $700 for Turning Point in 2014

2014 SAAC gifts for Turning Point

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian College Student-Athlete Advisory Committee raised over $700 from Moravian student-athletes and athletic department staff members for a seventh straight year to purchase toys and other gifts that were donated to Turning Point, a shelter for victims of domestic violence.

The Greyhounds adopted two families as part of Turning Point's family sponsorship program. The Hounds were able to fulfill everything on the two families' wish lists.

"Donating to Turning Point is a wonderful way that we as student athletes can give back to our community," commented senior field hockey player and SAAC Secretary Emily Marley. "It is truly the least we can do to help those that are less fortunate. The gifts we give the families of Turning Point may not be very extravagant, but they do help to make their holiday season that much more special."
