2023 NCAA Softball National Tournament

WELCOME TO EAST TEXAS BAPTIST UNIVERSITY

Dear Softball Fans,

On behalf of East Texas Baptist University and Tiger Athletics, it is my pleasure to welcome you to the 2023 NCAA Division III Softball National Championship and Marshall, Texas. We are pleased to welcome you to our University and look forward to hosting the student-athletes, coaches, families, and spectators on the ETBU campus and at Bell Park at Taylor Field for the NCAA Division III Softball National Championship.

We hope your time at ETBU and in Marshall is enjoyable. The NCAA Division III National Softball Committee and the ETBU Staff are excited to make this a memorable event for everyone involved.  If you have any questions or special needs that are not addressed, please feel free to let us know, as we would be happy to assist you further. 

ETBU is proud to be a member of the American Southwest Conference and NCAA Division III. Intercollegiate competition at ETBU is conducted in a manner that encourages enthusiasm while maintaining sportsmanship and a positive attitude among spectators and participants in support of their teams.

MEDIA INFORMATION

Host Athletic Communicator: Adam P. Ledyard (Asst. AD for Communications - ETBU)

REGISTER FOR CREDENTIALS

All media will have to register through the NCAA website for credentials. Athletic Communication Directors (SIDs), if you are not on the travel party list, please register for a media credential. 

PHOTOGRAPHY/VIDEO: There will be specific areas to taped off behind home plate for taking pictures. You can also take pictures/video from the first base line by the dugouts, the outfield stands, and the centerfield birm. THERE WILL BE NO VIDEO OR PICS ALLOWED IN THE DUGOUT AFTER PREGAME PER NCAA RULES.

DURING THE GAME: There will be a radio booth for both teams to share during the game. If one school is broadcasting then arrangements will be made for that game. If there are no broadcasts, both SIDs can use the radio booth to work from. After the game, please go to the football field house (hospitality area/press conference area) for your post game work so the booth can be set up for the next game. 

PRESS CONFERENCES: These will be done in the Football Field House across the street from Bell Park at Taylor Field. Wifi will be available. The hospitality area will also be in this building. 

PICTURES: The ETBU staff will be taking pictures of every game and providing the teams/SIDs with those pics.
