Moravian Baseball Opens 2023 Campaign on February 22 at Diamond Nation to Start Coe Era

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian University baseball team is scheduled to start the 2023 campaign, the first season under the direction Head Coach Douglas Coe, on Wednesday, February 22 when the squad hosts Elmira (N.Y.) College in a non-conference doubleheader on the turf at Diamond Nation in Flemington, New Jersey.

The Greyhounds then head off to the RussMatt Invitational in central Florida for eight games over Spring Break. The trip starts with contests versus John Jay (N.Y.) College and the University of Dubuque (Iowa) on February 26. The Hounds will face Franklin (Indiana) College on February 27 and Milwaukee School of Engineering on February 28, and the Blue and Grey complete the week with doubleheaders versus Albion (Michigan) College on March 2 and Wartburg (Iowa) College on March 4.

The Hounds will continue to be on the road once returning north with a non-conference game at New Jersey City University on March 7 before heading to Salisbury (Maryland) University for a three-game series on March 11-12. Moravian is slated to begin the 2023 Landmark Conference season with a three-game set at Drew University on March 18-19 before finally playing at home at Gillespie Field on March 30 versus Keystone College.

The Greyhounds start April in Bethlehem with eight straight home games. The squad hosts Elizabethtown College on April 1-2 for a three-game Landmark Conference series, Neumann University for a non-conference contest on April 4, Susquehanna University in another Landmark Conference series on April 7-8 and DeSales University on April 12 in non-conference action.

Moravian heads out on the road for a three-game Landmark Conference set at The Catholic University of America on April 15-16 before the final five home games of the year. The Blue & Grey host Penn State Abington on April 19, The University of Scranton for a Landmark Conference series on April 22-23 and Cabrini University on April 25. The Hounds finished the regular season with a six-game road trip including a three-game conference series at Juniata College on April 29-30, a single non-conference contest at Gwynedd Mercy University on May 2 and a non-conference doubleheader at Cortland State University on May 6.

The 2023 Landmark Conference Tournament is scheduled to begin on Friday, May 12 at Scranton, and the conference champion of the double elimination tournament will receive an automatic berth to the 2023 NCAA Division III Tournament.
