TOWSON, Md. --- Moravian College senior goalie Ashley Kunsman has been named one of the Landmark Conference Field Hockey Athletes of the Week.

With the cancellation of the traditional Landmark fall season due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Landmark Conference will be recognizing an athlete from each member institution in each conference-sponsored fall sports over the next few weeks. Honorees were nominated for recognition by their respective institution based on achievements from the shortened season and career accolades.

Kunsman was a three-year starter in goal for the Greyhounds and had a 2,72 career goals-against average in 52 career matches. She recorded 11 career wins with five shutouts, and Kunsman had 429 saves, which ranks fourth in school history, and a .774 career save percentage. Kunsman was selected to the 2019 Landmark All-Conference Second Team, and she is also a three-time member of the Landmark Conference Fall Academic Honor Roll and the ZAG/National Field Hockey Coaches Association National Academic Squad.

"Ashley has been an excellent leader throughout her career as a Greyhound," stated Head Coach Sarah Dalyrmple. "She's earned the respect of her teammates through both her play on the field as well as her commitment to the program."

Moravian is slated to host Juniata College in an exhibition match on Friday, March 19 beginning at 6:00 p.m. on John Makuvek Field.
