Hounds Earns First Win of 2022 With Fourth Quarter Goal at Immaculata

IMMACULATA, Pa. --- The Moravian University field hockey team earned its first win of the 2022 season with a 1-0 non-conference victory at Immaculata University on a goal in the fourth quarter Wednesday evening.

How It Happened

  • The squads were scoreless through the first three quarters
  • The Hounds eventually got on the scoreboard in the 50th minute as senior midfielder Mackenzie Jakobsen knocked in her first career goal on a penalty corner with assists from sophomore forward Sydney Anderson and sophmore defender Onalee Long

Inside the Numbers

  • The Greyhounds had a 7-5 edge in shots and an 8-1 advantage in penalty corners
  • Anderson picked up her first assist of the season and the fourth of her career while Long registered her first assist of 2022 and the third of her career
  • Senior goalie Brooke Wilkinson recorded one save for her first shutout of the season and the fifth of her career. The save also marked the 100th of Wilkinson's career with the Hounds
