ALLENTOWN, Pa. --- The Moravian University field hockey squad posted its second straight shutout as the Greyhounds blanked rival Muhlenberg College, 3-0, in non-conference action Friday evening.
How It Happened
- The squads were scoreless through the first quarter
- The Greyhounds broke onto the scoreboard in the 20th minute as senior midfielder Emily Wells netted an unassisted goal. Four and a half minutes later, sophomore forward Sydney Anderson found the cage off of a pass from junior forward Hanna Leto
- Moravian pushed its advantage to 3-0 in the third quarter as Anderson scored again as Wells set up the goal in the 36th minute
Inside the Numbers
- Anderson has scored four goals so far in 2022, and she has 19 in her career
- Wells netted her goal and added her first assist of the year. Both were the 14th of her career
- Leto registered her first assist of the season and fourth of her career
- Senior goalie Brooke Wilkinson recorded three saves for her second straight shutout of the season and the sixth of her career
- The win was Moravian's first over the Mules since a 2-1victory at Betty Prince Field back on September 25, 2013
