Greyhounds Set to Travel to The University of Scranton for Landmark Conference Field Hockey Semifinal on November 2

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian University field hockey team has earned the fourth seed in the 2022 Landmark Conference Tournament and will travel to top seed The University of Scranton for a semifinal match on Wednesday, November 2 at 7:00 p.m.

Admission to Wednesday’s match is $7 for adults and $4 for minors ages 10-17 and seniors 62 and older. Children ages nine and under are admitted free of charge, as are all Landmark Conference students, faculty and staff with their school ID. The winner of the semifinal match will play the winner of the other semifinal contest between second seed Susquehanna University and third seed The Catholic University of America on Saturday, November 5 at the highest remaining seed for the conference title and a berth to the 2022 NCAA Division III National Championship Tournament.

The Greyhounds, who are 7-10 overall and were 4-3 in the Landmark Conference regular season, are under the direction of third-year Head Coach Sarah Dalrymple, who is in her second season on the field with the 2020 campaign cancelled by the pandemic. Dalrymple led Moravian to a historic season in 2021 with the program earning its first-ever Landmark Conference Tournament appearance and the first postseason berth for the Greyhounds since 1987.

Sophomore forward Sydney Anderson leads the Blue & Grey with 12 goals and three assists as she became the 15th player in program history to reach 20 career goals earlier this season. Anderson is tied for seventh in school history with 27 career goals, and her 61 points are tied for sixth. Senior midfielder Emily Wells has contributed four goals and seventh assists as she became the 15th player in school history to reach 50 career points, and Wells is fifth all-time with 19 career assists and 14th in career points with 53 while junior forward Bekkah Kehoe has five goals and an assist in 2022.

Senior midfielder Maddie Call has registered two goals and four assists this fall while junior defender Onalee Long and junior forward Hanna Leto both have two goals and three assists. Junior midfielder Sarah Bietka has added two goals and two assists while senior midfielder Mackenzie Jakobsen and junior defender Jenna Segrave each have two goals and one assist on the year. Freshman forward Brooke Sodl and junior midfielder Maria Tice have both hit the cage once while sophomore forward Marianna Crisafulli has added one assist.

Senior goalie Brooke Wilkinson has posted 76 saves, five shutouts, a 7-10 mark and a 1.58 goals-against average in 1,061 minutes of action on the year. Wilkinson ranks third all-time with a 1.48 goals-against average, third in shutouts with 10, tied for fourth in victories with 20, seventh with a .751 save percentage, eighth in minutes played with 2,230 and ninth with 166 saves in her career.

Segrave has also contributed four defensive saves while Long has three defensive saves. Call has added two defensive saves while senior defender Elise Keeney has one defensive save.

Moravian fell to the Royals, 2-1 in overtime, when the two teams met in Scranton on October 15.
