BROCKPORT, N.Y. --- Moravian University sophomore forward Sydney Anderson has been named to the 2022 National Field Hockey Coaches Association Division III All-Region V Second Team.

Anderson, who was selected to the Landmark All-Conference First Team for the second straight fall, helped Moravian to an 8-11 overall mark and a 4-3 slate in the Landmark Conference regular season. The Greyhounds entered the postseason as the fourth seed and upset top seed The University of Scranton, 1-0, to reach the first conference championship match in program history where the Hounds fell to third seed The Catholic University of America, 4-2.

Anderson led Moravian in scoring in 2022 with 27 points on 12 goals and three assists, and she netted one game-winning goal. In 35 matches in her first two seasons, Anderson has netted 27 goals to go with seven assists for a total of 61 points, and she is tied for sixth in career points and tied for seventh in career goals. Anderson has scored six game-winning goals in her career.

"We are so excited to see that Sydney's hard work and ability to lead our striker line has been noticed and recognized," commented third year Head Coach Sarah Dalrymple, who was in her second season on the field due to the pandemic. "She continues to grow as a player and has the ability to find a way to finish."

Anderson is the third Greyhound to receive NFHCA All-Region accolades joining Ava Edwards in 2021 and Amy Jo Crawley in 1996.
