GILBERT, Ariz. --- Eight student-athletes from the Moravian University field hockey team have been selected to the 2024 National Field Hockey Coaches Association Division III National Academic Squad sponsored by OPA Winning Teams while freshman Shawna Mamrak was named as an NFHCA Scholar of Distinction.

"We are incredibly proud to have eight members of our team named to the Division III National Academic Squad," commented Head Coach Sarah Dalrymple. "It's been incredibly rewarding to watch our student-athletes thrive both on the field and in the classroom."

Mamrak was joined on the National Academic Squad by seniors Sydney Anderson, Marianna Crisafulli, Lexi Dinsmore and Savannah Sutter, junior Megan Felmly and sophomores Maia Machado and Maddie Snyder. To be named to the NFHCA National Academic Squad, a student-athlete must maintain at least a 3.50 cumulative grade-point average through the first semester of the 2024-25 academic year. Anderson, Dinsmore and Sutter are all four-year selections to the National Academic Squad.

Mamrak earned Scholar of Distinction honors for the first time in her career. The Scholar of Distinction is given to student-athletes that have achieved a cumulative grade-point average of 3.90 or higher through the first semester of the 2024-25 academic year.

"We are especially proud of our Scholar of Distinction Shawna Mamrak," Dalrymple said. "She continues to push herself in the classroom and on the field while proudly representing MUFH."
