Moravian Set to Compete in 2021 Landmark Conference Golf Championships on April 24

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian College men's golf team is set to compete in the 2021 Landmark Conference Championships on Saturday, April 24 at the Scotch Valley Country Club in Hollidaysburg with Juniata College serving as the host school.

The championship has been cut down from its normal two-day, 36-hole format to just one round of 18 holes due to travel and the pandemic. Live results will be available at http://results.golfstat.com//public/leaderboards/gsnav.cfm?pg=participants&tid=22743.

The Greyhounds will be in the first wave of golfers to tee off beginning at 11:00 a.m., and the Hounds will play in threesomes with players from Juniata and The University of Scranton. Eleventh-year Head Coach Kevin Edwards will see senior Kody Kolnik as the first to tee-off, and Kolnik is averaging 91.0 this year with a low round of 80. He has a career average of 85.56 over 18 rounds.

Sophomore Andrew Hozza is set for an 11:10 a.m. tee time, and he is averaging 88.0 strokes per round with a low of 78 this spring to go with a career average of 82.22 over eight rounds while junior Will Breslin will tee-off at 11:20 a.m., and Breslin is averaging 85.0 strokes per round in 2021 with a low of 81 to go with a career average of 85.23 over 13 rounds.

Senior Victor Tavares will begin his round at 11:30 a.m., and Tavares is averaging 83.0 this spring with a season low of 75 and one medalist finish to go with a career average of 79.35 over 20 rounds. Senior captain Thomas Lakata rounds out the Moravian line-up with an 11:40 a.m. tee time, and Lakata, who is a two-time Landmark All-Conference Second Team honoree, is averaging 81.67 this spring with a low of 75 and one medalist finish to go with a career average of 82.55 over 33 career rounds.

The winner of the Landmark Conference Championship will earn an automatic berth to the 2021 NCAA Division III National Championship.
