Greyhounds Place Second in Moravian Invitational at Olde Homestead

NEW TRIPOLI, Pa. --- The Moravian University golf squad placed second of 11 teams with a four-man score of 322 in the Moravian Invitational played at Olde Homestead Golf Club Wednesday.

How It Happened

  • The Greyhounds finished two strokes behind The University of Scranton, which won the tournament with a 320, while Lebanon Valley College and Rosemont College each had team scores of 323
  • The tournament began with light sleet and snow falling on the course 

Moravian Results

  • Senior Will Breslin had the Hounds' lowest round of the day playing as an individual with a three-over par score of 75 to place third of the 65 golfers in the tournament. Breslin's round was the second lowest of his career and included three birdies and 10 pars
  • Graduate student Nick Kuhn fired a round of 77 to tie for fifth place, and he carded a birdie and 13 rounds
  • Graduate student Thomas Lakata tied for ninth with a 79 that included a birdie and 10 pars
  • Junior Andrew Hozza finished in a tie for 19th with a round of 81, and he had 12 pars on the day
  • Sophomore Sam Mortazavi tied for 25th with a career-low round of 84 playing as an individual, and he had a birdie and seven pars
  • Freshman TJ Bohl carded an 85 with eight pars to tie for 30th place
  • Freshman Jason Koch was also tied for 30th with an 85 that included a birdie and seven pars
  • Junior Jack Wagner tied for 46th a 91 while playing as an individual, and he had six pars
