TOWSON, Md. --- Moravian University freshman Jake Haberstumpf has been selected as the Landmark Conference Men's Golf Athlete of the Week for his performance last week.

Haberstumpf made his collegiate debut a memorable one by taking medalist honors in two tournaments during the week. He began his college career with a one-under par round of 71 at the Moravian Weyhill Classic to win by five strokes, and Haberstumpf's round included four birdies and 11 pars while helping the Greyhounds to a second-place finish. He then took medalist honors at the Golden Oaks Shootout, which was shortened by rain to 27 holes, with a one-under par 107 as Moravian finished first as a team by seven strokes. Haberstumpf posted six birdies and 17 pars over his 27 holes.

"Jake is off to a great start this fall winning his first two collegiate events," commented Head Coach Kevin Edwards. "He is a great addition to our team, and I am looking forward to see how he does the rest of the fall."

Moravian is scheduled to return to action on Monday, October 10 when the squad participates in the Muhlenberg College Invitational at the Lehigh Country Club.
