EASTON, Pa. --- The Moravian University men's golf squad has a one stroke lead after the first round of The Melee at Riverview Country Club Saturday.
How It Happened
- The Greyhounds had an opening round four-man team score of 296, leading Farmingdale State College and Swarthmore College by one stroke after the first 18 holes
- The second round is slated for Sunday
Moravian Results
- Freshman Jake Haberstumpf and sophomore Jason Koch are tied for fifth of 58 golfers after two-over round pars scores of 73. Haberstumpf had an eagle, three birdies and nine pars in his round, and he had a one-under 35 on the back nine while Koch carded four birdies and eight pars
- Sophomore TJ Bohl is tied for ninth with a 74 that included three birdies and 10 pars in his opening round
- Senior Jack Wagner carded an opening round 76 to sit in a tie for 14th, and he had 14 pars in his round
- Senior Andrew Hozza and freshman Robbie McNelly are both tied for 33rd after first round scores of 81. Hozza had a birdie and eight pars while McNelly, playing as an individual, carded nine pars
