TOWSON, Md. --- Moravian College junior midfielder Anthony Nagy has been named one of the Landmark Conference Men's Soccer Athletes of the Week.

With the cancellation of the traditional Landmark fall season due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Landmark Conference will be recognizing an athlete from each member institution in each conference-sponsored fall sports over the next few weeks. Honorees were nominated for recognition by their respective institution based on achievements from the shortened season and career accolades.

Nagy has started in 35 of 37 career matches that he has seen action in, and Nagy has netted 13 goals including seven game-winning markers, and four assists for 30 career points. He is 5-for-6 on penalty kicks during his career. In 2019, Nagy was named to the United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division III All-Mid-Atlantic Region Second Team and the Landmark All-Conference First Team, and he was honored as the Landmark Conference Rookie of the Year and on the All-Conference Second Team in 2018. He is also a two-time member of the Landmark Conference Fall Academic Honor Roll.

"Anthony has made a major impact in our program since arriving on campus in 2018," stated Head Coach Bob Wilkinson. "He has started in 35 of the 37 games he has played in. He has been All-Conference twice and a Regional All American in 2019. He has scored 13 times and had 4 assists while helping to lead Moravian to the Landmark Conference playoffs for the first time in 2018 and again in 2019. He has been excellent in the classroom as well maintaining a 3.65 GPA. He is a pleasure to coach, and we look forward to what he will accomplish in the future."

Moravian is slated to travel to Juniata College for an exhibition match on Saturday, March 20 beginning at 4:00 p.m. in Huntingdon.
