Greyhounds Drop Close 5-4 Decision at Catholic in Landmark Conference Action

WASHINGTON, D.C. --- The Moravian College men's tennis team fell to host The Catholic University of America, 5-4, in Landmark Conference action Saturday. 

How It Happened

  • The Greyhounds led 2-1 after doubles action with an 8-6 win at second doubles from the tandem of seniors Mason Hudnall and Sean Kearns and an 8-5 victory by sophomore Andrew Hozza and freshman Steve Schneider at third doubles
  • The Cardinals would win the first two singles matches off of the courts before Hudnall had a 2-6, 6-2, 6-2 win at third singles and Hozza won 7-5, 6-0 at fourth singles to put Moravian back in front, 4-3
  • Catholic captured the match with victories at fifth and sixth singles
