Hounds Record First Landmark Conference Win of the Year at Catholic

WASHINGTON, D.C. --- The Moravian University men's tennis squad recorded its first Landmark Conference win of the season with a 6-3 triumph at The Catholic University of America Saturday afternoon. 

How It Happened

  • The Greyhounds took a 3-0 lead by sweeping all three doubles contests. Freshmen Anthony Ronca and Wyatt Marshall were off the courts first with an 8-0 win at first doubles while freshmen Ronny Pimentel Ferrer and Zachary Lebby earned an 8-6 victory at third doubles. Juniors Kieran Pisani and Justin Szaro won by the same 8-6 score at second doubles
  • Catholic picked up the first singles contest to finish before Ronca posted a 6-3, 6-4 win at first singles to make the team score 4-1. The Cardinals cut the deficit to 4-2 until Marshall earned a 6-2, 6-1 victory at fifth singles to clinch the match for the Blue and Grey. Pimentel Ferrer registered a 6-0, 6-2 triumph at sixth singles before Catholic won the final match of the day
