Moravian Men Drop 2022 Finale to Scranton at Hoffman Courts

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian University men's tennis squad dropped its final match of the 2021-22 regular season, falling to The University of Scranton, 5-4, in Landmark Conference action at Hoffman Courts Saturday afternoon.

How It Happened

  • The Greyhounds had a 2-1 lead after the doubles action. The Royals captured the contest at first doubles while juniors Kieran Pisani and Justin Szaro posted an 8-4 victory at second doubles. Freshmen Zachary Lebby and Ronny Pimentel Ferrer earned an 8-7 (7-5) triumph at third doubles to give the Blue & Grey the edge
  • Scranton captured the top four singles matches to earn the overall team victory. Junior Andrew Hozza recorded a 6-3, 6-2 triumph at sixth singles while freshman Wyatt Marshall added a 6-1, 6-2 win fifth singles to set the final score
