ALLENTOWN, Pa. --- The Moravian University men's tennis squad defeated rival Muhlenberg College, 8-1, in non-conference action on the road Thursday afternoon.
How It Happened
- The Greyhounds swept the doubles action to take a 3-0 lead. Sophomores Wyatt Marshall and Ronny Pimentel Ferrer came off the courts first with an 8-1 victory at second doubles while the duo of senior Kieran Pisani and freshman Matthew Labosky earned an 8-2 triumph at third doubles. Sophomore Anthony Ronca and freshman Shayaan Farhad completed the sweep with an 8-4 win at first doubles
- The Mules earned the opening point in singles action with a victory at first singles. Senior Justin Szaro posted a 6-1, 6-1 win at fourth singles while Ronca recorded a 6-2, 6-3 triumph at second singles to capture the winning team point. Marshall earned a 6-1, 6-2 victory at third singles before freshman Murray Litman posted a 6-2, 6-2 win at sixth singles to record his first collegiate victory. Freshman Ryan Burke completed the match with a 6-1, 6-4 triumph at fifth singles
