LOUISVILLE, Ky. --- The Moravian College softball squad has slipped two spots to No. 19 in the second regular season 2021 National Fastpitch Coaches Association Division III Top 25 Poll released Wednesday.
Moravian, which was ranked No. 19 in the 2021 preseason poll announced in early February and No. 17 in last week's first regular season poll, is currently 2-0 on the season after sweeping Gwynedd Mercy University, 9-1 and 17-1, in a pair of five-inning games on March 13.
The Greyhounds are scheduled to return to action on Wednesday, March 17 when the squad heads to Gwynedd Mercy to complete the home-and-home series with a 3:00 p.m. first pitch in the opening game of the doubleheader. Moravian is slated to open its 2021 Landmark Conference season on Saturday, March 20 when the Hounds welcome Juniata College to Blue & Grey Field for a 1:00 p.m. start to the first of 12 conference doubleheaders this season.
