LOUISVILLE, Ky. --- Moravian College senior catcher Brooke Wehr has been honored with a spot on the 2021 National Fastpitch Coaches Association Division III All-America Third Team.

Wehr helped the No. 6 Greyhounds to a 31-3 record this season as Moravian reached the postseason for the 26th spring under 28-year Head Coach John Byrne with the Hounds earning the top seed in the 2021 Landmark Conference Tournament after a 22-0 mark in the conference's regular season. Moravian would capture its ninth Landmark Conference title and make its 18th trip to the NCAA Division III Tournament this year as the Blue and Grey set program records for winning percentage at .912 and fewest losses with three.

Wehr's award gives Moravian a total of eight student-athletes that have received 12 NFCA All-American honors.

This spring, Wehr was selected as the 2021 Landmark Conference Player of the Year as she made the All-Conference First Team for the third time twice as a catcher in 2021 and 2019 and as an outfielder in 2018. Wehr is also a three-time NFCA All-Atlantic Region Honoree, making the Second Team in 2021 and the Third Team in 2018 and 2019.

Wehr led Moravian with a .491 batting average to go with 55 hits, 37 runs, 15 doubles, five triples, seven homers, 44 RBIs, 11 walks, four stolen bases, a .535 on-base percentage and a .884 slugging percentage. Wehr also had 148 putouts and nine assists in 158 chances in the field, and she had one pickoff and threw out two-of-seven stolen base attempts.

"This is a tremendous honor for Brooke to be recognized at the national level, and she is very deserving of being an All-American," commented Byrne. "Brooke's work ethic is unmatched, and she consistently plays at an elite level. Brooke is a five-tool player, and one of the best young women to come through our program both on and off the field."

Wehr, who will be returning to the Greyhounds in 2022 to use her fifth year of eligibility, has a .405 career batting average in 124 games as she has gone 177-for-437 at the plate, ranking tenth in program history for hits. Wehr also has 142 runs scored, tied for second in school history, 31 doubles, eight triples, 29 home runs, tied for second all-time, 122 RBIs, fourth in program history, a .456 on-base percentage and a .712 slugging percentage. She also has 30 walks, 16 stolen bases, 311 total bases, fifth all-time, 335 putouts and 25 assists.
