SCRANTON, Pa. --- The Moravian College women's lacrosse fell behind early in a Landmark Conference match at The University of Scranton, and the Greyhounds attempt to rally came up short in a 14-7 setback.

How It Happened

  • Scranton scored the first goal of the contest just 1:38 into action while sophomore attack Megan Donnelly knotted the score a minute and a half later with the Hounds' first goal. The Royals then ran off seven straight goals to take an 8-1 lead. Senior midfielder Meaghan McMullan scored twice for Moravian before Scranton netted one more goal to head to the intermission with a 9-3 advantage
  • Junior attack Eliza Fantazzi opened the second half with a goal for the Blue and Grey but the Royals countered with five of the next six goals. Moravian finished the scoring with two tallies in the final 10:06 but was unable to close the gap

Inside the Numbers

  • Fantazzi netted two goals while Donnelly, junior midfielder Lindsey Strohl and freshman attack Lexi Robinson each scored once, and senior attack Breanna Federico had two assists
  • Strohl also had four draw controls while sophomore goalie Rylee Soltis tied her career-high with 17 saves in 47 minutes of action, and she had a team-high three ground balls. Sophomore Brelyn Friedman made the start in goal for the Hounds
