TOWSON, Md. --- Moravian College senior midfielder Meaghan McMullan has been named to the 2021 Landmark Women's Lacrosse All-Conference First Team while juniors midfielder Lindsey Strohl and defender Samantha Cherenson were selected to the All-Conference Second Team.

The trio helped the Greyhounds to a 6-5 record this season and the program's third trip to the Landmark Conference Tournament where the Hounds defeated Elizabethtown College, 15-12, for the first postseason victory in program history before seeing the season end in the Semifinals at The University of Scranton on Wednesday.

McMullan, who earned All-Conference honors for the third time in her career after being on the Second Team in 2018 and 2019, led the Hounds this spring with 47 goals and 15 assists for 62 points, and she added 48 draw controls as well as team highs for 22 ground balls and 20 caused turnovers. In her career, McMullan had 183 goals, 60 assists, 243 points, 96 ground balls, 201 draw controls and 71 caused turnovers in 49 career matches. She ranks second in program history in assists and draw controls and third all-time in goals and points.

"I'm thrilled to see Meaghan receiving First Team All-Conference honors for her performance this year," stated Head Coach Kristen Nicholson. "She has been a standout player since her freshman year and has had tremendous growth leading up to her senior season. She is extremely athletic, strong, fast and confident in her game. She is a presence on the field and doesn't go unnoticed."

Strohl, who was a member of the All-Conference Second Team in 2019 as a freshman, was second on the team in 2021 with 31 goals and three assists for 34 points, and she had a team-high 64 draw controls to go along with 11 ground balls and three caused turnovers. In 35 career matches, Strohl has contributed 89 goals, nine assists, 98 points, 176 draw controls, which ranked fourth in school history, 53 ground balls and 28 caused turnovers.

"Lindsey's speed is unmatched and her ability to find the ball on the draw circle are just two aspects of her game that contribute to this program's overall success," Nicholson said. "She has evolved into a true offensive threat for our attacking end and has embraced her role. I'm proud to see her receiving conference recognition and excited to see what she can do with her senior year."

Cherenson made the All-Conference Team for the first time, and she contributed 24 draw controls, 18 ground balls and 10 caused turnovers this spring. Cherenson has 45 ground balls, 28 caused turnovers and 24 draw controls in 29 career contests.

"Sami is one of our leaders on the defensive end," noted Nicholson. "As a lefty defender, she sees matchups in almost every game. She has been steadily improving from year to year and I cannot wait to see her reach her potential as a senior next year. Conference recognition for her performance this season is well deserved."
