MADISON, N.J. --- The Moravian University women's swimming squad participated in its first-ever varsity competition Friday evening as the Greyhounds swam in a double dual meet at Drew University with Montclair State University. The Greyhounds fell to the host Rangers, 250-24 and the Red Hawks, 248-23.
How It Happened
- Freshman Sarah Mazzetti recorded a time of 37.78 seconds in the 50-yard breaststroke, and she had a time of 1:22.61 in the 100-yard breaststroke. Mazzetti also swam a time of 1:15.10 in the 100-yard individual medley
- Junior Jaelyn Mitchell swam a time of 1:09.99 in the 100-yard butterfly, and she posted a time of 6:20.08 in the 500-yard freestyle
- Freshman Catie Lovett posted a time of 27.04 seconds in the 50-yard freestyle, and she recorded a time of 1:01.23 in the 100-yard freestyle
- Junior Marissa Werner had a time of 32.00 seconds in the 50-yard backstroke
- Junior Sydney Steere swam a time of 39.91 seconds in the 50-yard backstroke, and she also had a time of 33.84 seconds in the 50-yard freestyle
- The quartet of Lovett, Mazzetti, Mitchell and Werner swam a time of 2:05.94 in the 200-yard medley relay while the group of Lovett, Mitchell, Steere and Werner recorded a time of 1:56.63 in the 200-yard freestyle relay
