Hounds Capture One Event & Record Four Runner-Up Finishes at Juniata

HUNTINGDON, Pa. --- The Moravian University women's swimming team fell to host and Landmark Conference opponent Juniata College, 133-37, Saturday afternoon.

How It Happened

  • Freshman Catie Lovett won the 50-meter freestyle in 29.89 seconds, and she was the runner-up in the 100-meter freestyle at 1:06.53. Lovett also finished third in the 100-meter backstroke with a time of 1:22.23
  • Junior Jaelyn Mitchell was the runner-up in the 200-meter freestyle with a time of 2:31.92, and she was fourth in the 200-meter individual medley in 3:08.73
  • Freshman Sarah Mazzetti was the runner-up in the 100-meter butterfly in 1:24.32, and she was second in the 100-meter breaststroke in 1:33.27. Mazzetti also recorded a time of 2:57.36 to place third in the 200-meter individual medley
  • Junior Sydney Steere took fourth in the 100-meter freestyle in a time of 1:21.61, and she fifth in the 50-meter freestyle in 35.65 seconds and fifth in the 100-meter backstroke in a time of 1:46.15
