CHESTER, Pa. --- The Moravian University women's swimming team began its 2022-23 season with a double dual meet at Widener University that included Albright College Saturday afternoon with the Greyhounds earned the program's first-ever victory as the Hounds defeated Albright, 73-65.
How It Happened
- Sophomore Sarah Mazzetti placed third in the 200-yard individual medley in a time of 2:43.89, and she was fourth in the 200-yard freestyle in a personal best time of 2:23.99. Mazzetti was also fourth in the 100-yard breaststroke in 1:23.91
- Sophomore Catie Lovett finished third in the 50-yard freestyle in 27:02, and she was also third in the 100-yard backstroke in 1:12.00. Lovett took fourth in the 100-yard freestyle in 1:01.20
- Senior Marissa Werner was fourth in the 100-yard backstroke in a time of 1:13.31, and she placed sixth in the 50-yard freestyle in 27.90 seconds
- Freshman Nora Ronan took fifth in the 200-yard freestyle in 2:41.76 in her first collegiate event, and she was sixth in the 100-yard backstroke in 1:22.27
- Senior Sydney Steere took fifth in the 100-yard freestyle in a time of 1:08.56, and she finished seventh in the 50-yard freestyle in 30.74 seconds
- Senior Jaelyn Mitchell placed fifth in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 1:09.47, and she also took fifth in the 500-yard freestyle in 6:39.97
- Moravian 200-yard freestyle relay squad of Werner, Steere, Ronan and Mitchell finished third in 1:57.74
- The Greyhounds fell to the host Pride, 142-34, in the other half of the double dual
