SCRANTON, Pa. --- The Moravian College women's tennis squad earned a hard-fought 6-3 victory at The University of Scranton Saturday in a battle of unbeaten squads in Landmark Conference action before the contest.
How It Happened
- The Royals would have a 2-1 lead after doubles action with the Greyhounds lone point coming at first doubles as seniors Emma Angle and Mary Angle had an 8-1 win
- Emma Angle tied the match at 2-2 as she was the first off the courts with a 6-3, 6-1 win at first singles
- Mary Angle would put the Hounds ahead with a 6-2, 6-3 triumph at second singles while senior Brooke Adams made it a 4-2 lead with a 6-3, 6-3 victory at third singles
- Senior Kristen Cassidy clinched the team win with the fourth straight singles victory, winning 6-2, 6-3 at fifth singles while sophomore Maddie Figiel extended the edge to 6-2 with a 6-3, 6-1 win at sixth singles
