BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian University women's tennis team recorded a 9-0 sweep of visiting The University of Scranton in Landmark Conference action on Senior Day at Hoffman Courts Saturday.
How It Happened
- The Greyhounds earned all three doubles points while the tandem of sophomore Mara Stapleton and freshman Rose Lombardo coming off the courts first with an 8-1 win at third doubles. Juniors Maddie Figiel and Cristina Merone made it 2-0 with an 8-5 triumph at second doubles while senior Morgan Colver and junior Julianne Cassady registered an 8-7 (7-5) victory at first doubles to head to singles with a 3-0 edge
- Cassady quickly made it 4-0 as she won by retirement at first singles while Merone earned the winning team point with a 6-0, 6-1 triumph at fourth singles. Colver posted a 6-4, 6-1 victory at second singles while Figiel recorded a 6-1, 6-1 win at third singles. Stapleton had a 6-0, 6-0 match at sixth singles while Lombardo finished the day with a 6-3, 2-6, 10-5 win at fifth singles
- Prior to the match, the Greyhounds honored Colver on Senior Day
