ITHACA, N.Y. --- The Moravian University women's indoor track & field team competed for the first time in over a month and finished third of four teams at the Ithaca College Quad Meet Friday as the Greyhounds scored 21 points while the host Bombers took first with 100 points.
Top 4 Scoring Finishes
- Senior Emma Marion placed fourth in the 5,000-meter run in a time of 20:16.44 to earn a point in the opening race on the track
- Senior Natalie Stabilito garnered three points for a runner-up finish in the mile run in a time of 5:26.15
- Sophomore Lexi Groff was the runner-up in the high jump, clearing an All-Atlantic Regional Track & Field qualifying height and indoor PR of 1.61 meters (5-3.75), the same height as the winner but in one more attempt
- Junior Crystal Robinson took second in the 60-meter dash in a time of 8.12 seconds in the final after qualifying fourth in 8.23 seconds while junior Helen Davis earned a point with a fourth-place finish in 8.21 seconds after running the third fastest time in qualifying at 8.22 seconds
- Robinson also finished third in the 200-meter dash in a time of 27.17 seconds while Davis placed fourth in 27.41 seconds as the duo earned another three points for Moravian
- Senior Santina Burak was the runner-up in the 3,000-meter run with a time of 11:58.94 to garner three points
- The Hounds 4x400-meter relay squad of junior Rachel Byrne, junior Peyton Herbst, freshman Rylie Murphy and sophomore Pia Mazzella DiBosco was fourth in 5:03.36 to earn three points for Moravian
- Junior Elizabeth DeMassa finished fourth in the triple jump with a distance of 9.84 meters (32-3.5)
Other Top 8 Finishes
- Freshman Gillian Schonenberg was sixth in the 5,000-meter run in 23:25.87 in her first career indoor race
- Freshman Amber Poniktera was sixth in the mile run with a time of 5:56.81 in her first collegiate race while Byrne took seventh in 5:59.51
- Freshman Lizzy Blaski took fifth in the 60-meter hurdle finals in a time of 10.50 seconds while DeMassa finished seventh in 10.88 seconds. Blaski had the fourth-fastest qualifying time of 10.28 seconds while DeMassa earned the final qualifying spot in 10.67 seconds
- Freshman Arin Peykar placed fifth in the shot put with a toss of 9.86 meters (32-4.25)
- Murphy finished sixth in the 800-meter run in her first collegiate indoor meet in a time of 2:43.72
- DeMassa also placed fifth in the long jump with a leap of 4.76 meters (15-7.5) while junior Haylee Saylor took eighth at 4.55 meters (14-11.25)
- Saylor also finished sixth in the triple jump with a distance of 9.18 meters (30-1.5)
- Freshman Ally Meeks finished fifth in the 3,000-meter run in 12:43.64 while Herbst took seventh in 13:11.71 and freshman Lily Mingora placed eighth in a time of 13:18.89
- Junior Maddie Wickel took seventh in the weight throw with a mark of 11.86 meters (38-11) while freshman Liz Miskovsky placed eighth at 10.83 meters (35-6.5)
