BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian University Department of Athletics & Recreation has named Kelly Anthony as Director of the Fitness Center & Recreation beginning July 12.

"Moravian University is very fortunate to have Kelly join the Athletic Department staff as the new Director of the Fitness Center and Recreation," stated Assistant Athletic Director Rebecca May, who oversaw the Fitness Center for the last three years. "Kelly has transformed the recreation department at the Northampton Community College Monroe Campus and increased student engagement. She will be bringing fresh ideas to Moravian campus to engage all students throughout the Fitness Center and the Intramural program."

Anthony comes to Moravian after three years as the Coordinator of Recreation & Fitness at Northampton Community College's Monroe campus and nearly three years as the Senior Woman Administrator for NCC's Bethlehem campus. Prior to her work with NCC, Anthony spent two years as the Manager of the James G. Mill Fitness Center at Indiana University of Pennsylvania.

"I am so excited for the opportunity to start working at Moravian," commented Anthony. "I am looking forward to meeting all of my new colleagues and starting this new adventure."

At Moravian, Anthony will oversee the 10,000-square foot Fitness Center facility that opened in 2011 and features 32 total treadmills, ellipticals, bikes, summit climbers, stair masters and rowers. In addition to the cardio equipment, a full line of Life Fitness strength equipment covers every muscle group. Flat, incline and decline benches pair with a 5lb-100lb dumbbell set, squat racks, and cable machines. The Fitness Center also offers battle ropes, sled, kettlebells, medicine balls and more. Anthony will also oversee Moravian's Intramural and Club Sports.

Anthony is a 2016 graduate of DeSales University where she was a member of the women's basketball team, serving as a team captain in 2015-16. She earned a Master of Science in Sport Management and a Master of Business Administration from IUP in 2018.
