Top 10 Stories Of 2020-21 - #7 Men's Lacrosse Earns First-Ever Postseason Victory

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- Moravian University is continuing its look back at its 2020-21 athletic campaign. The next entry in our countdown– the Top 10 Stories of the Year selected by the athletic administration – is our No. 7 highlight – the men's lacrosse team reached the Landmark Conference Tournament for the first time and earned the program's first-ever postseason victory.

The Greyhounds, under the direction of sixth-year Head Coach Dave Carty, made their second postseason appearance since the program returned to varsity status in 2016 and the first trip to the Landmark Conference Tournament with a berth in the Landmark Conference Quarterfinals. Moravian went on the road to Susquehanna University on May 1 and posted an 18-12 win for the program's first-ever postseason victory. The Hounds would fall at The Catholic University of America, 11-7, on May 5 in the Landmark Conference Semifinals.

Moravian had four players selected to the Landmark All-Conference Teams this season with long stick midfielder Jimmy Schicke and defender Tanner Leslie making the First Team while attack Cade Siddron and midfielder Zach Bergeron made the Second Team. Goalie Sean DeMott made a school and Landmark Conference Tournament record 31 saves in the final game of the season at Catholic.

The Greyhounds only other postseason appearance came in 2016 with a trip to the ECAC Division III Mid-Atlantic Championship First Round.
