BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- Moravian University Athletics is hosting its third Athletics Giving Challenge that runs from October 28-November 7. The Greyhounds have 889 donors over five days of the challenge raising close to $70,000.

The men's lacrosse program leads the list with 135 donors and over $13,000 , including 100% student-athlete participation, which unlocks an extra $1,000 from the Blue & Grey Club. The softball team has had 112 donors for more than $9,000 followed by thewomen's soccer squad who has a total of 87 donors, ahead of the women's basketball with 76 donors for over $5,400. The football team had 60 donors for over $9,700 and  baseball and field hockey programs each had 56 donors after day five. The field hockey squad was the first team to reach 100% student-athlete participation and unlocked the bonus of $1,000 donated by the Blue & Grey Club. Women's tennis rounds out the day five leaderboard with 55 donors. The men's lacrosse program is the first to eclipse $10,000 while the softball and football teams have raised over $9,000. The women's basketball, golf and men's soccer teams have all received over $4,000 while the baseball and men's tennis squads have recorded over $3,000. The Blue & Grey Club, field hockey, women's soccer and women's tennis have all surpassed $2,000 over five days, while the men's basketball, swimming and women's lacrosse programs all eclipsed $1,000.

There are different ways to be involved, donors can make a donation to the general account to help with departmental-wide needs or select a program that they feel most passionate about. To make a donation, visit moravian.edu/backthepack and help us reach our goal of 1,700 donors in 11 days.
