BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- Moravian University Athletics is hosting its third Athletics Giving Challenge that runs from October 28-November 7. The Greyhounds have 1,683 donors over nine days of the challenge raising over $120,100.
The men's lacrosse program leads the list with 201 donors and over $17,300, including 100% student-athlete participation, which unlocks an extra $1,000 from the Blue & Grey Club. The softball team also has 100% student-athlete participation and has had 150 donors for more than $11,000 followed by the football squad who has a total of 144 donors for over $23,300. The women's lacrosse team had 127 donors for over $3,600 while women's basketball team had 123 donors for over $7,800, including reaching 100% student-athlete participation to unlock $1,000 from the Blue & Grey Club. The women's soccer squad had 111 donors for over $3,400 while baseball had 107 donors for over $7,300 and the men's soccer program had 89 donors for $6,200 after nine days of the giving challenge. The field hockey, golf, men's basketball, men's tennis, women's tennis and volleyball squads also reached 100% student-athlete participation and unlocked the bonus of $1,000 donated by the Blue & Grey Club.
The football squad has received over $20,000 while men's lacrosse and softball programs are both over $10,000. The baseball, men's basketball, women's basketball, golf and men's soccer teams have all received over $5,000 while the field hockey, men's basketball, men's tennis, volleyball and women's lacrosse, women's soccer, track & field and women's tennis programs and the Blue & Grey Club have recorded over $3,000 while the swimming teams have surpassed $2,000 over eight days. Also eclipsing the $1,000 mark is the cross country squad.
