BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- The Moravian University department of athletics and recreation has installed brand new record boards installed to honor the many accolades of the cross country and track & field programs inside the Timothy Breidegam Field House and ARC.

"A few years ago, Coach D'Ottavio had the idea to display our NCAA Champions in the ARC as a way to honor their remarkable achievements," stated Director of Men's & Women's Track & Field and Cross Country Jesse Baumann. "That idea evolved to include indoor school records and we took it a step further when we received a generous donation from two cross country alums to include All-Time lists for those programs as well."

Most recently, the Greyhound men's cross country program captured the 2021 Landmark Conference Championship and the women's track and field squad earned the 2021 outdoor conference title.

"We have a few ideas to continue to expand on these displays, which includes outdoor school records at Calvo Field," continued Baumann. "However, these displays are one step to showcase some of the remarkable athletes and achievements we've been blessed to have in our program since Coach P started the track & field teams here over thirty years ago."

"Our teams start their dynamic warm-up drills beneath these signs for each indoor practice. Every time our team does a drill or a stride, they'll be looking up at what some of our alums accomplished before them and we hope this will motivate them to what they can achieve while they're Greyhounds. We can't thank our administration and alums enough for helping this all come together. It's an impressive display and a great way to honor the many athletes who paved the way for what Moravian Track & Field and Cross Country has become," concluded Baumann.
