BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- Moravian University is continuing its look back at its 2021-22 athletic campaign. The next entry in our second countdown of the summer – the Top 10 Stories of the Year selected by the athletic administration – is our No. 6 highlight – five Greyhounds garner Landmark Conference Rookie of the Year honors.

Freshman Nathan Hajel was selected as the 2021 Landmark Conference Men's Cross Country Rookie of the Year after having the top finish among first-year student-athletes at the conference championship meet last October. The Greyhounds won the title on a tiebreaker at Bicentennial Park as Moravian served as the meet host, and Hajel was seventh of 94 runners on the 8,000-meter course with a time of 26:46.4 to receive Landmark All-Conference First Team honors as well.

Freshman TJ Bohl was named the 2022 Landmark Conference Men's Golf Rookie of the Year as the top first-year finisher at the 2022 championships. Bohl finished in a tie for second of the 40 golfers with a 36-hole score of 157 to also earn Landmark All-Conference First Team accolades. He carded a second round 75, which was the second lowest round of the tournament and just two strokes over par for the final 18 holes.

Freshman attack Jackie Savlatore was honored as the 2022 Landmark Conference Women's Lacrosse Rookie of the Year. She led the Greyhounds with 63 points on 40 goals and 23 assists this past spring to go along with 25 ground balls, 11 caused turnovers and seven draw controls. Salvatore was also named to the Landmark All-Conference Second Team in her debut campaign.

Freshman Anthony Ronca was selected as the 2022 Landmark Conference Men's Tennis Rookie of the Year while making the Landmark All-Conference First Team in singles and the Landmark All-Conference Second Team in doubles. Ronca recorded an 8-6 mark at first singles for the Greyhounds in his debut season, and he also posted a 6-6 slate at first doubles including a 5-4 mark with fellow freshman Wyatt Marshall.

Freshman pitcher Madi Cunningham was named the 2022 Landmark Conference Softball Rookie of the Year, and she garnered a spot on the Landmark All-Conference First Team this season. Cunningham, who was a finalist for the 2022 Schutt/National Fastpitch Coaches Association Division III National Rookie of the Year and selected to the NFCA All-Region V Second Team, was 17-1 in the circle this spring with a save, 83 strikeouts and a 2.18 ERA in 118.2 innings pitched. At the plate, she hit .359 with 14 hits including seven extra-base hits with two doubles and five homers to go with 13 RBIs and 11 runs scored.
