Eric Lambinus ’94 - New Moravian Hall of Fame Inductee

Eric Lambinus '94,former dual sport student-athlete and men's and women's soccer head coach, is being inducted into the Moravian University Athletic Hall of Fame

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- Eric Lambinus '94, former dual sport student-athlete and men's and women's soccer head coach, is being inducted into the Moravian University Athletic Hall of Fame on October 7, 2022 in Johnston Hall beginning at 6:00 p.m.

Lambinus, who completed his degree in 1994, was a two-sport student-athlete for the Greyhounds on the soccer pitch and tennis court, and he also coached both of Moravian's men's and women's soccer squads. During his playing career on the soccer pitch, Lambinus registered 33 goals and 22 assists for 88 points, and he earned All-Middle Atlantic Conference South First Team honors in 1991 and 1992 and All-MAC Commonwealth League First Team accolades in 1993. Lambinus was selected as a National Soccer Coaches Association of America Regional All-American in 1991, and he earned a spot on the All-MAC South Second Team as a freshman in 1990. Lambinus competed on the tennis courts for Moravian for three seasons with a 19-14 overall singles mark and a trio of victories in doubles action.

Five years after graduation, Lambinus returned to Moravian to become the Head Coach of both the men's and women's soccer programs. He led the women's squad to a 129-64-16 record in 11 seasons with a 50-29-7 mark in conference action, and the program also won a Landmark Conference title in 2008, made trips to the NCAA Division III Tournament in 2005, 2007 and 2008 with a first-round win in 2005, and ECAC Division III Mid-Atlantic Region Tournament berths in 2003 and 2009. In ten seasons coaching the men's team, Lambinus won 76 matches and made trips to the ECAC Division III Mid-Atlantic Tournament in 2001 and 2002.

Lambinus is being joined by softball student-athlete Erica Klepeisz Kilpatrick '09; baseball player George Pitsilos '67; two-time NCAA Division III National Champion in the pole vault Abigail Schaffer '12 and four-time NCAA Division III National Champion sprinter Eric Campbell-Woodruff '11 to make up the class of 2022 that will be inducted into the Moravian Athletic Hall of Fame. The 1994, 2001, 2002 and 2003 women's tennis teams will also be inducted on Friday, October 7 while Dr. Stacy Robustelli '97 will receive the Robert Martin Herbstman Award.
