BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- Moravian University is continuing its look back at its 2022-23 athletic campaign. The fourth entry in our second countdown of the summer – the Top 10 Stories of the Year selected by the athletic administration – is our No. 7 highlight – the field hockey squad reaching the conference championship match for the first time in program history.

The Greyhounds entered the postseason as the fourth seed and headed to top seed The University of Scranton for a Landmark Conference Semifinal match on Wednesday, November 2. That contest would remain scoreless until the final 1:49 when senior midfielder Maddie Call put a shot into the cage that gave the Hounds' a 1-0 win and a berth in the conference finals. The Blue & Grey had not been to the Landmark Conference Tournament until 2021, and the program was making just its fifth-ever postseason appearance in 2022 with the other three berths in 1984, 1985 and 1987.
