BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- Caitlin Corrigan Boyer '09, an All-Conference goalie on the women's soccer team, is being inducted into the Moravian University Athletic Hall of Fame on Friday, September 22 in Johnston Hall beginning at 6:00 p.m.

Boyer, who completed her degree in 2009, was a standout goalie on the soccer pitch for the Greyhounds as she helped guide the Hounds to three NCAA Division III Tournament appearances and a Landmark Conference Championship in 2008. In the NCAA Tournament, Boyer posted a 1-3 record including a 2-1, double-overtime victory over Washington & Lee University in the First Round in November 2005 in the program's first-ever NCAA Tournament match. Boyer was a three-time All-Conference honoree, making the Commonwealth All-Conference Second Team as a freshman in 2005 and earning spots on the Landmark All-Conference First Team as a junior and senior in 2007-08.

Boyer left her name throughout the Moravian record book, and she still holds the records for career minutes played at 7,309, minutes played in a season with 2,027 in 2005, career victories with 51, wins in a season with 15 in both 2005 and 2007, and career shutouts with 34. Boyer played in 82 of 83 matches in her career, starting 81 contests, and she finished her career with a 51-26-4 record, 34 shutouts, 317 saves and a 0.87 goals-against average, which was the school record and now ranks third in program history.

Boyer is being joined by women's basketball and women's track & field student-athlete Kelly Applegate '07; baseball pitcher Brendan Close '12; women's volleyball standout Kaitie Kramer-Bicknell '00 and javelin thrower Gary Zack '12 to make up the Moravian Athletic Hall of Fame Class of 2023. The 1999 and 1998 women's volleyball teams and the 2007 and 2008 women's soccer squads will also be inducted on Friday, September 22 in Johnston Hall as part of Moravian's Homecoming Weekend while Patricia Billie Miller '77 will receive the Robert Martin Herbstman Award.
