Kaitie Kramer-Bicknell ’00 - New Moravian Hall of Fame Inductee

BETHLEHEM, Pa. --- Kaitie Kramer-Bicknell, an All-Conference setter on the women's volleyball team, is being inducted into the Moravian University Athletic Hall of Fame on Friday, September 22 in Johnston Hall beginning at 6:00 p.m.

Kramer-Bicknell, a 2000 Moravian graduate, was a four-time All-Middle Atlantic Conference honoree on the volleyball court while helping the Greyhounds to three NCAA Division III Tournament appearances and a 102-26 record over four seasons. Kramer-Bicknell was honored on the America Volleyball Coaches Association All-Mid-Atlantic Region Team and the All-MAC Commonwealth First Team as a senior in 1999. She was selected to the All-MAC Commonwealth First Team in 1996 and 1997 as well while making the Second Team in 1998, and Kramer-Bicknell was the MAC Commonwealth Rookie of the Year in 1996.

Kramer-Bicknell set the school records for assists with 4,325 and services aces with 205 during her career with the Greyhounds, and she still ranks second in both categories in program history. Kramer-Bicknell set the single season mark for assists, three times in her career with 1,093 in 1997, 1,160 in 1998 and 1,233 in 1999 including four-set school record 63 assists in the Hounds' 3-1 win over Franklin & Marshall College in the opening round of the NCAA Division III Tournament, still the only NCAA tournament victory in program history. Kramer-Bicknell also still holds school marks for assists in a three-set match with 55 and a five-set match with 70. She was also named to the Middle Atlantic Conference Fall Academic Honor Roll as a senior in 1999.

Kramer-Bicknell is being joined by women's basketball and women's track & field student-athlete Kelly Applegate '07; women's soccer goalie Caitlin Corrigan Boyer '09; baseball pitcher Brendan Close '12 and javelin thrower Gary Zack '12 to make up the Moravian Athletic Hall of Fame Class of 2023. The 1999 and 1998 women's volleyball teams and the 2007 and 2008 women's soccer squads will also be inducted on Friday, September 22 in Johnston Hall as part of Moravian's Homecoming Weekend while Patricia Billie Miller '77 will receive the Robert Martin Herbstman Award.
