Soccer team huddles for United Soccer Coaches Academic Awards

KANSAS CITY, Mo. --- The Moravian University men's and women's soccer programs have been named as United Soccer Coaches College Team Academic Award winners, recognized for their exemplary performance in the classroom during the 2022-23 academic year.

The men's team, led by fifth-year Head Coach Bob Wilkinson, recorded a 3.16 grade-point average, while the women's squad, under the direction of ninth-year head coach Jeff Ykoruk, finished the 2022-23 academic year with a 3.65 GPA. The Greyhound squads are part of a group of 812 soccer teams (313 men and 499 women) to post a team GPA of 3.0 or higher, thereby earning the United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award.

This is the seventh time that the Moravian women's soccer squad has garnered this accolade, most recently in 2022, going back to 2011, 2012, 2013, 2016 and 2021. The men's program was honored for the second time in 2023 following its first award in 2020.

United Soccer Coaches annually celebrates the academic achievements of teams whose student-athletes collectively demonstrate a commitment to excellence in their studies over the course of a full academic year.
